Healthy Breakfast in Downtown Baton Rouge
Downtown mornings move fast. Here is how to eat something real between the parking garage and your first meeting — without ending up with a pastry and a large coffee.
Start with protein, not sugar
A breakfast built around protein and fiber tends to hold you until lunch better than a pastry does. On our breakfast menu, that usually looks like the Feret Street Avocado Toast with egg, a croissant breakfast sandwich, or a smoothie with protein added.
If you have five minutes
Order ahead and grab it at the counter at 307 3rd Street. A protein smoothie is the fastest full breakfast we make, and a matcha instead of a third coffee is a gentler way to get going.
If you have thirty
Sit down with an açaí or smoothie bowl and eat it with a spoon like a proper meal. Saturday mornings, the same kitchen runs weekend brunch until 2pm.
Feeding a team
Office breakfast for a downtown meeting is one of the most common things we pack. Breakfast trays, juice packs and smoothie boxes are all on the catering menu, and delivery covers most of downtown.
